EPS PayMate AI is an independent tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Korean Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL / 고용노동부), HRD Korea, the Employment Permit System (EPS) program, or any official Korean labor service.

The "EPS" in our name refers to the Employment Permit System workers we built the app for. It does not mean we represent or speak for that program, or that the program endorses us.

The salary numbers EPS PayMate AI shows are estimates, calculated from the hours and rate you enter using the 2026 Korean Labor Standards Act and the official 2026 deduction rates published on Korean government websites.

Your real pay depends on your specific employment contract, your company's policies, and how your employer applies the rules. Your actual payslip is what counts, not this app. Use the app to understand the breakdown, then compare against your real payslip.

EPS PayMate AI does not calculate income tax (소득세) or local income tax (지방소득세). Income tax depends on your personal situation, the number of dependents you claim, your personal deductions, and the year-end tax settlement (연말정산) process. That is outside what this app estimates.

Your payslip shows the exact income tax your employer withheld for the month. Check your payslip for that number, or ask your company's HR department if anything looks off.

EPS PayMate AI is a calculator and tracker. It is not financial advice, legal advice, or tax advice. It is not a substitute for guidance from the Korean Ministry of Employment and Labor or from a qualified labor attorney.

The AI features in EPS PayMate AI (AI Assistant, AI Payslip Compare, AI Monthly Story, AI Goal Coach) use OpenAI's GPT-4.1 mini model. AI responses can be incorrect, incomplete, or outdated. AI does not understand the specifics of your individual contract, employer, or visa situation.

For anything important, verify with your actual payslip, your HR department, the Korean labor hotline (1350), or a qualified labor attorney. We are not responsible for actions you take based on AI responses.

When you use AI Payslip Compare, your payslip photo is sent to OpenAI to read the numbers, then immediately discarded. The extracted numbers are compared against your logged hours in memory, then discarded too.

The only artifact that stays is the PDF comparison report you choose to download, and that lives on your device, not on our servers. We never store payslip images, scan history, or extracted numbers.
